9 The Village

Guest Information

Dear guests,

We wish you a wonderful stay with us here at The Village, Hout Bay.  Please see below for information to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Parking

See the diagram provided.  If you are not sure, please ask the security guard to explain to you how to get into the underground parking.  Please ensure that you use the allocated parking bay 35.

Security

We have 24 hour security at The Village.  During the day there is a guard on duty, and at night, there are two roving guards patrolling the entire property – both within the building and outside.  The guards have a cell phone should need to call them in an emergency.  Emergency:  076 569 0101

WIFI

We have uncapped WiFi available for your convenience.  The password is holidays.

WATER AND ELECTRICITY

Whilst these are included in your rental, please be considerate and turn lights off when going out. 

Swimming Pool

The indoor pool is on a mezzanine level between the first and second floor on the mountainside.  You will need to use your security disc to enter.  Please note the operating hours which are posted on the door of the pool room.

Beach Access

There is a door on the ground floor which leads directly onto the beach.  As you leave the apartment, you will see it on your left-hand side.  There is a button on the wall to release the door when leaving.  You will need your security disc to gain access on your return.  Please do not remove the white bathroom towels from the apartment.   Beach towels have been provided for the beach and pool area.

Laundry

In addition to the washing machine provided, there is a laundromat next to unit number 20.  You will need R5 pieces to use the machines.  (R15 per wash – large machines)

NB: Washing machine to be kept to a minimum in line with Cape Town guidelines during the water crisis.

*TOWELS AND LINEN – please be vigilant of stains on linen and towels, in particular self-tanning lotions.  Damaged items, caused by such staining, will be charged for.

NB: Beach towels have been provided.  Please do not remove our white bath towels from the property.

Rubbish

Please split your waste.  All clean recyclable materials can be placed in the clear bags provided.  All other food and non-recyclables should be placed in black bin liners.  Please take your waste to the Refuse Room situation between apartments 2 and 3 on the ground floor.

Check-out

Check out will be at 10am.  I will be in touch prior to your departure to discuss your requirements.
